The Raceworx story begins in late February 2019 (over a beer naturally) when seasoned race- driver Yannick Mettler has the brilliant idea to team up with Jeffrey (D. Müller). Lets fast forward three weeks… Car Barn Raceworx becomes a fully-fledged team thanks to the technical support and ability of SPS Automotive Performance – a team so qualified and professional, even it’s name causes drama on track, #25characterlimit. On the flip side the creatives were unleashed on this project, adding that little cherry on top of an otherwise very exciting cake; the other side of the coin if I may, allowing a fun and exciting start to this project. Our vision was more than anything to have a great time with great people and to cause some damage on the circuit. Not physical damage obviously – you know what I mean. Chaps: you know who you are. Our extreme gratitude for your help, your patience, your input, your professionalism and most of all, your dedication to the project.
The Team is racing the latest fully loaded Mercedes AMG GT3 operated by SPS-Automotive-Perfomance and is entering the journey to the “2026 GT Open” this season.

Following its landmark 200th race milestone in 2019, the International GT Open is gearing up for its 21th season in 2026, solidifying its status as one of Europe's premier pro-am racing platforms. Since its inception in 2006 by GT Sport and ex-sportscar driver Jesús Pareja, following the successful launch of GT Sport’s single-seater series, now known as Euroformula, the International GT Open has witnessed continuous growth and success. This success is attributed to its stable regulations, managed costs, outstanding television exposure, and selection of top-tier venues. In 2026, the International GT Open is set to enhance its formula, reinforcing its standing amongst Europe’s elite GT series.

The Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, also known as the Barcelona Circuit, is a motorsport race track in Montmeló, Catalonia, Spain, owned by the Consorci del Circuit de Catalunya. Its length is 4.675 km (2.905 mi). Opened in 1991, it's recognized for its variety of corners and long straights, making it a popular testing track for Formula One teams. The facility has a capacity of 140,000 spectators and holds an FIA Grade 1 license, qualifying it for Formula One events.
Race driver and business man, Junior Johnson once wisely said- “The best way to make a small fortune in racing is to start with a big one.”
